While Raven was the foundation for all the bitches here at Shaizach, Gem, her daughter was our first homebred champion and was truly the stepping-stone to some of the lovely qualities you will see in the bitches here at Shaizach.
Gem was the 10th champion produced by the handsome Ch. Macdega Asterisk on his way to his ROM title. She possessed a very elegant outline, beautiful dark blue coat and she was soundly athletic.
Her temperament was energetic, cheerful and easygoing with a deep love of food. The perfect showdog temperament!!
Gem is the dam of Sultry, Opal and Cody. She is the grand-dam of Laurel, Cali, Rosalita, and Daphne.
I am sad to say that we lost Gem in 2009. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and especially by our friends, The Morins, who Gem retired with. The Morins loved her dearly and gave her a wonderful life, which I will always be grateful for. Below she is pictured with her boys who loved her and miss her so much.
